SBS KPOP introduced the MCs of 2026 SBS GAYO DAEJEON SUMMER on August 5 by giving each of them a Short of their own — SUNGCHAN at 2:29 in the afternoon Korean time, IAN at 2:31, SION at 2:33 — and every one of the three descriptions lands on the same line: August 9.
The descriptions do the introducing rather than the video titles. Each names all three MCs with the account they belong to — SUNGCHAN with @riize_official, IAN with @hearts2hearts, SION with @nctwish_official — which is the whole of what the posts say about who they are.
They are short and evenly matched: thirty-three seconds for SUNGCHAN, thirty-three for IAN, twenty-nine for SION. At the time of writing the three had 1,043, 1,104 and 967 views, with 84, 84 and 63 likes. All carry the same tags — #SBS, #2026SBSGAYODAEJEONSUMMER, #SBSGAYODAEJEON, and the two-character forms 歌谣大战 and 歌謡大典.
What is not in them is worth stating plainly, because it is what fans abroad will look for next: no performing lineup, no broadcast time, no venue, no word on tickets or how to watch. Three official posts, one date, and nothing else confirmed yet.
